Found this darker color on top side of my Scoby. I am praying it’s not mold. It has same texture as the rest, not dry, or fuzzy. Just darker in color. I inspected the rest & in between layers there’s other darker spots but not as dark as what’s on side here. All the reading and pictures I see of mold definitely look like mold with different size fuzzy patches, but mine is darker in color, like chocolate brown & not fuzzy. Is it the beginning of the end? I’ve used this Scoby for going on 3 months now.
When I pulled Scoby out & stirred the kombucha it was nice a fuzzy.
